Since 1984 Wombles
Steakhouse Restaurant has provided customers
in Zimbabwe with man-size portions of
Zimbabwean beef and other culinary delights.
Owners Duncan and Yvette
Barker have now opened Wombles in Parktown
North after a period in Australia where they
owned Campo de Fiori. A testimony to their
success in Australia was winning the Gold
Plate Award, which is the highest honour a
Restaurant can receive. After owning and
managing over 7 establishments the Barker
family has settled on Johannesburg.
"We were missing
Africa and wanted to take concepts from
other Restaurants and Lodges we have owned
and incorporate the themes and food styles
into one", says Duncan Barker - Chef /
